Skipping in Text

You can skip forward and back in the text by tapping the forward/back buttons at the top of the screen (shown in red). The amount of skipped text depends on the currently selected navigation unit and can be configured with a swipe down on the knob between the arrows (shown in red).

The following navigation options are available:

  • When Progress is selected: drag the progress slider to jump to any part of text directly. Use the arrows to move the sider by 2%.
  • When Page is selected: tap the page number and enter a new value to jump there directly. Use the arrows to go to next/previous page.
  • When Time is selected: use the arrows to jump forward/backward by a specific number of seconds. Tap the seconds to change the value.
  • When Search is selected: use the arrows to jump to the next/previous occurrence of the entered query.
  • When Bookmarks is selected: use the arrows to jump to next/previous bookmark in the text.
  • When Structure is selected: use the arrows to jump to the next/previous word, sentence or paragraph. Tap to switch between structural elements.
  • When Headings is selected: use the arrows to jump to the next/previous heading in the text. Tap to switch between different heading types.
  • Jump directly to a specific word in text by selecting it and tapping Jump here in the menu.

You can skip forward and back in text by tapping the forward/back buttons in the menu bar in the top of the screen.

The following navigation options are available:

  • Drag the progress slider to jump to any part of text directly.
  • Enter a new page value to jump there directly. Use the arrows to go to next/previous page.
  • Enter a search query and use arrows to jump to the next/previous occurrence of the entered text.
  • Select paragraph, sentence, word, heading, or bookmark in the navigation toolbox and use the arrows to jump to next/previous occurrence of the selected unit.
  • Jump directly to a specific word in text by double-clicking it, right-clicking it and selecting Jump Here.
